When You Dream Out Loud
“Harlem,” by Langston Hughes describes who I am. Someone that once deferred his dreams and it became a heavy load. Days when I sagged on jobs not being fulfilled, but going through the motions because that is what I was taught. Go to school, get an education and then get a job. Never was I told to dream out loud. Never was I asked did I dream and who did I want to become.
The casualties of an explosive dream.
It is because of Mr. Boyd that I am the ambitious young woman that I am today. He made me realize that in life, those who constantly make excuses for themselves and settle for mediocrity do not go far.
Life Changing
Developed almost twenty years ago by Bruce Boyd, the Boys of Distinction and Girls of Grace was an impactful program focused on bringing worldly experiences to youth. Inspiring them to REACH FURTHER, and instilling SKILLS that aid in the workplace, home and social peers. I’m LIVING PROOF that it works.
Success isn’t a destination but a journey.
Inspirational is an understatement. Bruce Boyd has impacted the lives of hundreds of youth. His mission is to change the lives of as many young people as possible. He is the reason why I am who I am today.
